I'll be making a long trip overseas, and was wondering if sealed containers of shampoo and conditioners will leak/implode from being checked as luggage in the cargo bay of an airplane. I've heard that loosening the caps might help this. Does anyone know if this is true? Will my sealed containers be okay on the plane? Any advice on how to prevent this? I always put all of my bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, that kind of stuff in a ziplock bag. That way if one does pop open, you only have a few bottles to rinse off. Bring an extra ziplock bag just in case one does, and you'll have a clean one for on the way home.

yeah - you can check them but I always put them in a zip lock bag because sometimes they do ooze and leak. Slightly loosening the caps can help since the air in the bottle will expand. Also, make sure the bottles are not completely full (3/4 full is better since it allows some space inside the bottle for expansion under pressure). Anything that you carry on board will be okay because the passenger cabin is pressurized. Bon Voyage

Hi, your sealed containers will be perfectly alright on flight. There is no likely chance of leak or imploding unless your aircraft had suffered an in-flight emergency that resulted in rapid de-compression. Otherwise, they will be fine.
if you are worried about possible leaks, just place the liquid/cream containers in separate plastic bags and this should protect your other belongings.
I have never had any problem with sealed containers. do not loosen the caps.
I do put them in ziplock bags. but I haven't had anything leak yet.
I've never had a problem with shampoo or conditioner (or any other product) leaking or imploding after I've checked it as luggage. However, if you're concerned about this happening, just put your bottles in plastic zip-loc baggies. Problem solved!

What's the best volumising shampoo/products?
So i have fine, wavy, flat hair and i want to find a product that'll give me all day lasting volume(like towards the top of my hair, like close to the roots). What products do you think are the best %26amp; that I should use?What's the best volumising shampoo/products?

if you need something a little cheaper. use samy- esentia, in a brown bottle, and that shampoo and conditioner will help its only around $7.

Paul Mitchell you can never go wrong. I also like to use Biologica. The orange one... smells like heaven. Use the volumizing products. Also Pureology Roor lift is amazing. spray it in your hair while it's wet (in parts across your head from front to back where you want the lift) and blowdry... brush your hair in an upward motion to get the hair to be more volumized. Also, you can use clips to hold your hair up whilt you're getting ready and let it out when you're ready to go... this will make a difference also especially when used with hairspray.

How often should a person shampoo his / her hair?
That depends on your hair! Myself I have coarse hair and it's dry so I go as long as I can stand it, usually 4-5 days. However someone with fine hair can't go as long, maybe 2 days. You shouldn't shampoo everyday if you don't have to. It takes away your natural oils that protect your hair and scalp from dryness.
If you have oily hair and want to wait longer use a baby powder at your scalp, it helps to soak up some oil so it doesn't look oily. Don't use too much though, your hair will be coated white!

i like the red ones, long term relationship. I LOVE herbal essences! the only products i use on my hair are those! and they smell so darn good!! yeah i love the blue ones, and the purple the curl ones. i want to try out dangerously straight.

So, I have been through three sets of bottles so far. But yeah, they're awesome! I would recommend them to anyone!

Edit: I'm not so sure it dries out everyone's hair, certainly not mines. Hm..I wonder why that happens..shampoos obviously dry out hair, but conditioners? No, I don't think so.....(I hope not). I've been using Herbal Essenses for a long time now and my hair's still smooth...
I hate using those drugstore brands, because it drys out my naturally curly hair. I NEED to use all natural products without all the sulfate.
BUT, i read a review that Herbal Essences Hello Hydration works really well and smells great!
I did like it for a little while but i found that its very drying to the hair. If i were you i would alternate shampoo's everyother time you buy shampoo and conditioner

After shampooing you need to immediately rinse the shampoo out; for conditioner about 1-3 minutes, depends on if your hair is dry or you want you hair to be more moisturized.
I just wash out the shampoo once im done scrubing it in then for the conditioner i leave it in for like 3 mins then wash it out
Read the instructions on the back of the bottle. All products are different
