I need a gentle shampoo since I dye my hair but I need something that will keep it from getting greasy?

I have oily hair. I used to use herbal escenses degunkify which worked great but faded my my hair color super fast. Now I'm using garnier fructis color sheild but by mid-day my hair is already oily. Uhgggg. Anyone know anything goood? Oh and cheap? Im kinda poor hahaI need a gentle shampoo since I dye my hair but I need something that will keep it from getting greasy?
I have an oily scalp as well, it has been an ongoing problem for me to find shampoos that don't make my hair greasy.

What I have found, is to avoid shampoos that say they're 'moisturizing' or that they're for 'damaged hair' or even 'coloured hair'-- these tend to have more oils in them to protect your hair from drying out because of dyes, etc. Instead, look for shampoos designed to give you volume-- they tend to be less weighty.

I splurge on a good shampoo (Kenra) which keeps my hair from getting greasy. But the bottle lasts me longer, as I don't have to wash my hair as often!

I've used head and shoulders and matrix, barley works. Anyone good a better one?Anyone know a good shampoo and conditioner?

Hello, you should try using Unicure Blue or Natural Shampoo along with Unicure Hair and Skin Conditioner as both a leave in and wash out conditioner its grease less, perfume, fragrance, and color free. Works for EVERYTHING related to Hair Or Skin from Clearing Acne to Keeping hair healthy, shiny. Thick, dandruff free, and so much more... available at www.unicure.com it has been around since 1973 formulated in the '50's in Denmark. The website has tons of beauty tips and testimonials plus was #1 selling hair conditioner in US and Canada they have a full line of hair care products. Definitely the best! and a very reasonable price about $5 a bottle 12oz.
did you try the head and shoulders because of dandruff? if that didn't work for you try selson blue instead. if its an on going problem, you may want to speak to your doctor for something stronger. you could also ask your hair stylist if it looks like its just dry skin or something worse. they should be able to recommend something to you to help.

dandruff could also be caused by dry scalp instead of whatever the disease is called that is the cause of it. try something moisturizing like Dove and maybe try a deep conditioner too. maybe get a few sample sizes so you don't have to buy lots of big bottles of stuff to find out that it doesn't work for you.

if you have a dry itchy scalp then just some heavy moisture should clear up your problems.

    good luck
    PANTENE.

Anyone know a good shampoo for straight hair?

I have naturally straight hair and I need a good shampoo. I've been using that Pantene 3 minute miracle which has made my hair really nice and shiny but I can only use it once week, so what is a good shampoo and conditioner which will always keep my hair shiny?Anyone know a good shampoo for straight hair?
I have straight hair too. Well, straightish. Just the slightest bit of a wave, almost undetectable. I think it's my best asset when I take good care of it. Very thick but still soft. My stylist says it's medium textured but I just have a huge amount of it. My only problem with my hair is that it's so heavy. Some styles HURT!

Anyway, back from the rabbit trail about my own hair. I use Garnier Frutics sleek%26amp;shine shampoo and conditioner every day. Then every once in a while (hardly ever remember to do it weekly) I use the three minute deep conditioner from the same line instead of the regular conditioner. It says it's for frizzy/dry/unmanagable hair, but I find it works really well to give shine and smoothness to my straight hair.Anyone know a good shampoo for straight hair?

Can I use human shampoo on my dog?

I know that in normal cases you're not supposed to. However, Silky Terrier fur is a lot like human hair in that it doesn't shed but instead breaks and splits. I've read that you can use human shampoo and conditioner on silky terriers. However, my dog is a silky terrier chihuahua mix. He mostly resembles a silky terrier, but I'm not sure if it's ok to use human shampoo on him.Can I use human shampoo on my dog?
No, it isn't. Please do not listen to the non-professionals. Dogs only have dog hair %26amp; it is not the same as human hair. Human ph is between 5.2 - 6.2 %26amp; dogs ph runs between 6.2 - 8.62 not to mention there are additives in human shampoo that is harmful to pets %26amp; their coat/skin. Almost no dogs need any conditioner pet or otherwise. The only ones that do are ones being treated for a particular skin issues. Your dog is having breakage due to static electricity %26amp; breakage for contact with carpets, furniture, grass etc. Breeders wrap the hair up so it doesn't get damaged from these things %26amp; brush %26amp; comb properly. Can I use human shampoo on my dog?
I have a scottie mix and we always use human shampoo it makes her softer and smell better. I don't believe when people say no don't. Just use it you can use it on any type of dog we've used it on poodles, labs, terriers, shepherds, tons of types and they are still alive, soft, and smell great.
My friend, a breeder of champion standard poodles got me on using store brand Pantene with conditioner included on my standard! Nothing works better! In reality, who would you think has a more sensitive scalp... a human with hair on our heads or dogs with hair or fur all over!

There was a time when people would readily fall for false advertising. Not so much anymore.
I know that human shampoo is not good for chihuahuas because their skin is very sensitive to things like that. There might be an exception to your dog though. I would contact a groomer.
I've always used human shampoo and never had a problem. Get a tearless one though so if it gets in their eyes in won't hurt.
Yah it doesn't hurt them it is the same on them as it is on you and just DON'T GET IT IN THEIR EYES.
I'm almost positive you shouldn't because it gets out the oils in their fur
yea but just rinse it out good till its not nomore soap
Ya i use it on my pomeranian evry time she has a bath

  • Does prenatal vitamins grow hair faster than mane and tail shampoo?

(I have a taped dark brush cut at the time, but i have decide on growing dreads and i need a quicker solution on how to grow my hair and then have shoulder length dreads in less than 1 1/2 year)Does prenatal vitamins grow hair faster than mane and tail shampoo?
No. Prenatal Vitamins are for pregnant women to keep them and there baby healthy. It's the hormones of pregnant women that make hair grow faster. They do not work. There is no possible way to make hair grow faster. No matter what people say. No proven way. Mane and Tail do not work.Does prenatal vitamins grow hair faster than mane and tail shampoo?
';Mad Hatter'; is right on the money...NOTHING makes hair grow faster. Time and patience is the key. Hair grows on average, 8-12 inches a year and grows at its own predetermined rate influenced by heredity. Taking prenatal vitamins can prove toxic to some people who obviously are not pregnant, too...taking them is dangerous stuff, as it can damage the liver, kidneys and other organs over time. Diet and scalp massage does NOT influence hair growth either...eating a healthy diet is just the right thing to do for your body, period. Research this information and you will see that this are proven scientific facts......
Yes, prenatal vitamins work from the inside out, which is how your hair grows. A lot of people think mane %26amp; tail shampoo works really well for growing hair long, but there's no proof of that. What helps hair grow faster is a healthy diet, vitamins, %26amp; massaging the scalp.
Yes it will work! Just do both it's make them grow alot faster!

REDKEN! I swear by it, been using it for years and its wonderful.

My hair feels like ive just left the hairdressers every time i use it, it makes me hair so shiney and soft and keeps that bounce and flow in it.

Ever since using it my hair isn't ever too dry, oily, tangled etc. And usually my hair would build up oil that just looks so disgusting within 24 hours of washing, now i can go two days and my hair looks fresh!

It really does repair your hair, and make it not only look healthy but actually be healthy.

Also my best friend uses de' lorenzo and her hair looks just as good, I tried it years ago and its great too :) I just love my redken, so havent parted with it.What's the best shampoo and conditioner for healthy, gorgeous hair?
The most important thing is to use a shampoo that has proper PH balance. Most brands you find in the store don't and they can actually add to the damage of your hair. Tresemme was originally a salon brand that found it's way onto the shelves and it's very affordable. It also maintains it's scent even in smokey areas or getting sweaty your hair will still smell great. If you want to go a little higher end I like Paul Mitchell especially his tea tree oil which is great if you have oily hair.

I personally only use Tresemme. I also use and recommend VO5 conditioning hairdressing. It's basically pure mineral oil and I've found it's best when applied while hair is still VERY wet. Just a small amount (i use an amount about as big as a pencil eraser for medium length very thick hair) and rub it between my hands and then over my hair and towel it through. Using to much will make your hair really greasy looking.

I always get complimented when I get my hair done that it's in perfect condition and never has any split ends. I blow dry and straighten my hair everyday and dye it almost monthly but you'd never know it.
I have found that the lo'real shampoo and conditioners work very well on your kind of hair. Try looking for the vegan shampoo and conditioners:

    1. because they aren't tested on animals

and 2. because they smell absolutely divine.
Tresemme is good. I also like fructis. But nothing will get rid of the split ends, other than cutting them off. And the ones that are already split will get worse the longer you leave them. To keep your hair healthy, try doing a deep condition every few weeks :)
You should use Garnier Fructis Length %26amp; Strength Shampoo and Conditioner. It makes your hair strong and shiny, and it repairs split ends and prevents new ones. I have long hair and it works great!
Mane n tail is what i ussualy use and now my hair is log thick and healthy And stronger=] ENJOY
    Tresseme Tresseme Oh la la!!
Nothing beats ';Biolage'; it`s very expensive but worth every drop
    Aveda Shampure

The best shampoo is Cream of Nature and conditioner, V05. Cream of Nature is avaible at Sally's or any beauty store and V05 can be bought anywhere.
You need a really good a really good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, more than likely you're not gonna find it on the shelf in a drugstore or at wal-mart. Most brands like Pantene or Herbal Essence or Suave have sulfates in them. . Sulfates are found in cheap shampoos. They are abrasive salts used to cleanse the hair but they do serious damage to the scalp and hair in the process. The best hair care I have found is made by a company called Elon. They make alot of Dermatology recommended products. I use their whole line of hair care to keep my hair soft and silky. Their pre-wash basically fixes damage caused by over treatment and coloring in 1-2 uses and their masque deep conditions. The shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free so they keep your hair soft. I use the shampoo and conditioner everyday and they other 2 once a week or so.

    Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!

use a very gentle shampoo and conditioner, perhaps every other day. by eating healthy (the usual 4 food groups) and vitamin supplements with biotin, and pumpkin seeds, you may be able to improve your hair density. these are things anyone can do to maintain their hair health.
Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. You can buy it at most beauty supply stores or order it online. I have done both. The last time I bought some was off of ebay. My hair does actually feel a little thicker.

Shampoo isn't the key to beautiful hair. Conditioner is. Pick whatever shampoo you like, don't really matter. Pick Pantene Pro-V for your hair type, or better (salon conditioner). Sounds like you need a moisturizing conditioner. Shampoo, then condition. I like to let the conditioner sit for a minute or so before I rinse.

What is the best shampoo to use?

Ok so I am twelve and am trying to figure out what kind of shampoo people use for OILY hair ONLY so I can to a chart to see what is most used just give me the type you use and if you have oliy hair or not. What is the best shampoo to use?
Stay away from drug store shmp/condt most of them contain wax. Pantene has a lot of waxs and actually is so heavy it can make weak hair fall out. Get a product from a Salon or Pro bueaty store like ulta or Sephora that is made for oily hair. Get real pro foumulas like --- Frederic Fekkai Clarifying --- it is Apple Cider Clarifying Shampoo. It says that it is good for all hair types, but it is especially good for oily hair. It gets all of the heavy oil out of your hair. It has apple cider vinegar. That is an acid and can break trhough oil really good. But its does not strip the hair of its essential oils that it needs.

For a cheap solution try regular apple cider mixed in with any clarifying shampoo for oily hair. OR... lemon juice. Just watch your eyes though and other sensitive areas. It burns! Treat it like washing a perm or dye out (do it in the sink). What is the best shampoo to use?

Ever since I started using Revlon Flex Sun Protective Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner, my hair's become really strong (it hardly ever falls), and it's also become a shiny dark black color (black is my natural color) ... so I'd recommend that. It also helps to alternate using this stuff with another shampoo - Garnier Fructis is another good brand of shampoo %26amp; conditioner - using Flex %26amp; Fructis alternately makes for great hair, but this is not really necessary.

And never ever forget to use a conditioner after shampooing - it makes the hair softer and shinier ...

    Hope this helps u. :)

Can you get dry shampoo for dark hair?

I am going to a couple of festivals this summer but my hair tends to get geasy after a couple of days espcially in the heat. I don't want to try and wash it at the festival because it goes frizzy and would need straightening. Some of my blonde friends are all set with dry shampoo but my hair is dark brown so whenever i use it it just makes me look like i've gone grey. Are there any options for dark haired people? Can you get dry shampoo for dark hair?
I have dark brown hair and use dry shampoo all the time, especially at festivals no problem- even the batiste ones which are supposed to be the worst for powdery-ness. You just have to spray them about 20cm away from your head and ruffle your hair really thoroughly afterwards. However you can get dry shampoo in black or brown, or blonde and red for that matter from Bumble%26amp;Bumble, it's 拢15 though but there aren't any other brands that do coloured hair powder. The easiest place to get it from is probably lookfantastic.com, they are really reliable with deliveries and stuff in my experienceCan you get dry shampoo for dark hair?
There's a delorenzo one called rebalance, it's a spray so it's not white but it will handle oiliness.

I'm in love with the oatmeal based ones like klorine though, and I have jet black hair. You spray it all over your roots and don't touch for 30 seconds, then brush well. There will be very little white left once you do this and any remaining white will go pretty quickly as the oil in your hair gets absorbed.
A friend of mine uses http://www.hairtrade.com/product_info.ph鈥?/a>

It is a bit pricey so maybe do some research. :)
I have black hair and use dry shampoo no problem.

To beat the grey hair look:

You could be spraying the product too close to your hair and try spraying at night before you go to bed
yes, just avoid the batiste ones. i love one from Savers its by Beauty Formula and is only 87p. I've tried a few from Boots but this one def works better

Can I use my shampoo on my dog?

I was wondering if i could use my regular shampoo like herbal essences or head and shoulders on my dog just to wash her. Cuz i dont get whats the difference between dog shampoo and regular shampoo. Do vets just say to use dog shampoo because they recommend it or can using human shampoo really harm my dog?Can I use my shampoo on my dog?
Head %26amp; Shoulders and other medicated shampoos may be a bit severe. I'd pass on it unless your dog has skin and coat problems. But a general shampoo is fine. I stopped buying dog shampoo a long time ago. We use our 'good stuff' on our dogs ....shampoo and conditioner. Does a better job and lasts a lot longer. Most dog shampoo is pretty cheap stuff.

Add: Any shampoo will lessen the effectiveness of flea treatments. We always bathe the dogs a day or two before we apply the stuff so there's no problem. Can I use my shampoo on my dog?
Human shampoo can be very harsh to your dog and give the dry itchy skin. You can wash your dog with dawn dishsoap, or pert plus i know that. You could even try baby shampoo since its so gentle. Those should only be a one time thing though, you should really get a dog shampoo.
    No you can't.

Human shampoo is made for humans %26amp; has different ph %26amp; soap/foaming based chemicals that pet shampoos do not have. Just pet shampoo, most are as cheap as human shampoos with less risk to pet having a bad reaction to chemicals or fragrances.
Omg.. some of your answers are severely lacking in mental capacity. ITS THE SAME THING. Yea some will be harsher.. some are harsher on people too. Vets just want you to spend the extra 5 bucks! Ive used anything I had on hand for 14 yrs its fine! Geez!
Yea, you can use your shampoo on your dog. I think the difference is that dog shampoo gets rid of ticks and fleas and helps protect their coat and make it shiny. My aunt uses Aussie on her dog all the time .
Generally human shampoo is harsher on the dog's skin than ';dog'; shampoo. Also, if you use Frontline, using anything but mild dog shampoo will strip it off their skin and you've wasted your money on the flea preventative.
I don't think you should use human shampoo on dogs because i think if you use regular shampoo on a dog, it will lose its fur or something.
yes human shampoo has ingredients that most dogs and cats cant have. using ur shampoo could seriously harm ur dog. i use a dog brand shampoo i got at coco's vet.
I think it would sting their eyes. My vet recommends Dawn dish soap.

They use it on animals stuck in oil spills, so it's pretty gentle on your pet.
    No--use dog shampoo.

But, my vet said head and Shoulders was okay to use .

    I would use very little.

    Good Luck!
Try some baby soap/shampoo that doesn't burn the eyes.
yaa believe me it doesn't matter.... they just say that for you to buy their productss soooo yaa dont pay ANY attention to them.
No, it is better not to. Animal formulas are different.
    no. use dog shampoos.

    John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette!!

It makes your hair so shiny without making it oily. And if you use it with Brilliant Brunette Conditioner you won't have any tangles
    Suave......it compliments LONG BROWN HAIR..LMAO
Suave is good for an everyday and cheap too. Pantene good for about every 3-4 days. I use the Same conditioner as shampoo brand too, I not condition every time I shampoo either. Pantene comes with a mix.
I have long brown hair and use TRESemme. It's fairly cheap and keeps my hair very smooth and manageable.

Unless you've dyed your hair, its color doesn't usually matter very much in choosing shampoo. Texture (curly or straight, etc.) matters more, with different shampoos marketed specifically for different hair types.
    garnier it's really good
John Freida for brunettes,it really works to keep shine and keeps your hair in good shape for when u use a curling iron or straightener
Pantene I use it and I really like it..!
    biolage
I'll say Head %26amp; Shoulders is good for any type.
MOTIONS AT HOME. THAT WHOLE PRODUCT LINE IS GREAT FOR HAIR AND COST EFFECTIVE
Catwalk Oatmeal %26amp; Honey. Not only does it leave your hair soft, shiny, %26amp; silky but it smells just like oatmeal cookies.. Just don't try to eat it.
Kerastase. Your hair will be like silk on your head without being weighed down. Phenomenol. I have never in my life of being a product junkie used anything that comes close. It's expensive but absolutely worth it. Your hair is the only accessory you always have on, invest in it, make it outstanding. Use Kerastase.
I have Brown hair, I love using Dove shampoo and conditioner. I love the way it makes if feel.
john freida`s shampoos and conditioners..he specializes in brunettes =]
    brilliant brunette by John Frieda
    Thermasilk!
    biolage definitely
    Head %26amp; Shoulders %26amp; sauve
PANTENE FOR BRUNETTES!!!! THAT IS WHAT I USE AND EVERYONE LOVES HOW SILKY FEELING AND LOOKING IT IS!!!!!
Well I would say dove because what my sister says it has some kind of natural type of somethinhg in it but you would have to ask her because I don`t know but yeah, I would say dove.

What are the best shampoo and conditioner to use on dyed hair so that it doesn't fade?

Thanks! What are the best shampoo and conditioner to use on dyed hair so that it doesn't fade?
For dyed hair, try using Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair... it works great and will keep the glow and shine to the color of your hair! good luck!!!What are the best shampoo and conditioner to use on dyed hair so that it doesn't fade?
Well i would like to know myself...

but i think i heard Sedu makes a good one..
    use tresseme
    John Frieda and Sedal
I can say that John Freida has a color gloss product that you use between shampoo and conditioner. It actually deposits small amounts of color over time. So if you go brunette, and it starts to dull, you can use the brunette gloss over 3 or 4 days and really give it's VAVOOM back! I have un-dyed auburn hair and I use the gloss for red heads and I notice a big difference after 3 applications!
For colored hair, spend the money and get John Frieda products plus they help add highlights to your color as well so that is a bonus.

My all time favorite is Pantene, always is my best kind but I tried the above this summer and the color looks great but it was dry for me.. Now, Patene has just come out with their own Color Enhancer Shampoo, I just bought it this past Monday and I prefer it b/c it conditions my hair alot more that the Frieda Products. Personal Choice is Patene. Hope that helps :)

Is there soap that's free of toxic chemicals, and shampoo as well..enviromentally friendly?

I would prefer something affordable and good for someone on a budget-if I could get it in a big bundle that would be great! Is there soap that's free of toxic chemicals, and shampoo as well..enviromentally friendly?
CHECK OUT THE LINK......... enviromentally friendly. Is there soap that's free of toxic chemicals, and shampoo as well..enviromentally friendly?
Ivory soap is 99% pure that it floats. I also trusted this soap for my kids when they were babies only one I used.

As for the shampoo, I think that they are all basically the same, so I would invest my money in the conditioner for the hair.
Ask about vegetable glycerine at your local health food store. A little goes a long way, and it moisturizes as well as cleans.
I would recommend Method products! I first saw them in Target. I use the all-purpose cleaner and it's awesome! They also have laundry products, body care, dish detergent. Not too pricey either. I've also seen Method in Pathmark supermarkets.
I prefer Burt's Bees products. They are free of harsh chemicals and affordable. I use the body wash, hair care and lotions.

My dog had an allergic reaction to Hartz Shampoo. Please Read and Help...?

gave my 5 year old Chihuahua a bath tonight and used Hartz Moisturizing Vitamin Shampoo. Her skin is so very red now and raw in some spots. Her fur looks blotchy.

Does anyone know of home remedies or anything else I can use to clear this up? Something for her itch? Something to dry up the sores?? Please help. I know I need to take her to the vet but they can't see her till tomorrow evening. Thanks for reading. My dog had an allergic reaction to Hartz Shampoo. Please Read and Help...?
Give her benadryl, 1mg/lb. If you can't find it in the lower dosages (less than 25mg tablets) you can cut one in half. It will make her drowsy and relieve the itching and probably will reduce swelling and some other symptoms. Give her another half around noon tomorrow. If she becomes drowsy that's probably a good thing, she wont be tempted to chew or itch.

Side Note: dont use hartz products, they have a horrible reputation, some of their products have killed animals. My dog had an allergic reaction to Hartz Shampoo. Please Read and Help...?
poor poochy! if i was you i would listen to amara's momma and then take the dog to the vet a.s.a.p.
rinse rinse rinse with warm water,,,

i assume you are new to pet ownership or to yahoo,, never ever use that crappy supermarket stuff on your beloved pets.
Please don't use hartz products. My cat Heidi almost died from the flea treatment. She started having constant seizures, and she was at a 24 hour animal hospital for 5 days. Since then she has never been the same cat. A cheaper price isn't worth your animals life.
rinse her in cool water for 10 mins. Pat dry and put zinc oxide (diaper rash cream) on the raw patches. Diphenhydramine (benadryl) can be given at 2-4 mg/kg every 8-12 hours. If I knew her weight I could figure the dose for you
She needs anti histamines to reduce the allergic reaction - hay fever remedy.
First off wash her again or rinse her off again.

Sometimes Hartz products are not the best to use on our pets. Even if you have people shampoo that is easy on the skin try that. Even better would be to use dawn dishwashing liquid. It can be the best thing to use if no pet shampoo is available. As for her skin being red you may have to wait that out until you veterinarian opens or call the local veterinary emergency clinic and see what they suggest. She may have to have some injections to help her be more comfortable.

Ask you veterinarian about some shampoo for sensitive skin or go back to the store and find an oatmeal shampoo for dogs. Oatmeal is sometimes used for sensitive skin. As for drying up the sores I wouldn't do anything with it now unless it's just getting some oatmeal shampoo.

If you can't do anything I have suggested, probably the best thing is just to rinse her off again to more shampoo residue off, dry her as completely as possible and wrap her up in a nice warm comfy blanket. A non-itchy one.

    Good luck
Definitely give her some anti-histamines. They will help reduce the symptoms over time. In the mean time, try rinsing her off again with plain warm water, then try putting the plug in and letting some water gather in the bath and use a child friendly bath product for excema such as Oilatum (availalbe from chemits/supermarkets). This should help ease her skin immediately.
I hope you rinsed her off well to get any remaining shampoo off of her body. The vet may give you a medicated shampoo to help her. Do not trust Hartz products. They have continually made flea products that they know have killed pets but will not change. Your dog has sensitive skin so you will need to purchase shampoos from the vet.

Keep a watchful eye on her and make sure her breathing is normal. Try to get an earlier appointment. If you notice any change for the worse, call an emergency all night vet.

Does anyone know which is the best Moisturizing shampoo (and conditioner)for Africam American hair?

I have permed hair and a short haircut similiar to Halle Berry's cutDoes anyone know which is the best Moisturizing shampoo (and conditioner)for Africam American hair?
I don't know the best shampoo. I'm A.A and I use Pantene shampoo. But the best moisturiizer by far is whipped shea butter. It has to be whipped or it will just sit on your hair. But it is awesome. I have very soft hair but I also have very dry hair! It has helped to keep my hair moisturized and repaor my split ends. Beware of frauds though it has to be pure, unrefined, whipped shea butter. You can also have fragrance added to it to make it smell better. Good luck trying to find it though. I bought mine from a store that sells incense, oils, aroma therapy etc. Good luck and happy hair!Does anyone know which is the best Moisturizing shampoo (and conditioner)for Africam American hair?
    ojon
motions!works every time, I think it is the best!
Motions is the best it has a lot to choose from and grows your hair even though it doesn't tell you. The more you use it the more you will see results. If you have kids you can use motions for kids on their hair also. Motions is a good product.

Creme of Nature Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner (all in one)

It really is the best. Your hair will be so soft after using it.

Try this Deep Conditioner as well.

It is great for your hair (especially permed hair). I use ';Motions CPR'; Conditioning Treatment EVERY week. After you wash your hair, use CPR, put a plastic cap on and sit under a hooded/bonnet hard-hat dryer for 10-15 mins, then wash it out. (This is Deep Conditioning) And this is the BEST thing you can do for weak, thin, dry or damaged hair... hint *CPR (Critical Repair and Treatment). It really does seal you hair cuticles and flood them with protein and moisture. It repairs your hair and make it so much stronger and grow fast too. It also keeps your hair healthy even if it already is. It's great!!!

i started using these products on my daughters hair and i have never looked back. she has super tight spiral curls (about 1/6inch) and they were so dry and frizzy....now she has beautiful curls that are never frizzy. whenever we go out someone tells me how beautiful her hair looks or asks me how long it took to make her hair that way (my daughter is Australian/African American/Native American with very light tanned skin, slanted eyes and curly hair). when i say less than a minute they can never believe it, but all I have to do before we go out is spray on some moisturiser and scrunch through the hair custard, ad a bow, headband or clip and we are ready to go...

try these products...they are the best!!!

    HERBAL ESSENCES

i absolutely am in love with herbal essences

    all of them work excellently

for dry hair i recommend either their new line Hydrlicious. Comes in all sorts of varieties. Ive never used it, but have extreme trust in all herbal essences, although ive heard the conditioner doesn't work that well for this kind...

So you could also try one from their original line Hello Hydration,

Comes with shampoo and conditioner are really cheap, but work great. Just read the back and it will tell you what it does and how to use it

    hope this helps
well my favourite is the pantene moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

but since you also have dry scalp, i recomend this head and shoulders moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

    http://www.superdrug.com/content/ebiz/su…

tip: don't apply conditioner on the roots of your hair, your hair wont have as much volume and will get greasyer faster.
i went to the Body shop and bought this shampoo for dry scalp, It has ginger in it. I am not sure what it is exactly called but they can help you out. The best thing about the store is that they carry products that have NO chemicals that are bad for the environment and bad for ourselves as well. I know its a bit pricey but they almost always have sales. I bought a regular bottle of VO5 and mixed 1/3 of the dry scalp shampoo with it so it can last A LOT longer.
I use Satinique Gentle Daily Hair Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. It has made a big difference in my hair %26amp; scalp.
Try getting Head and Shoulders Dry Scalp shampoo and conditioner.

It really works! It starts at your roots to moisturize them, then it goes all the way down for a shiny soft healthy look. Hope this helps! xoxo
Try Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and condition. Thats what i recommend for my clients
Head and shoulders, it cleans scalp but I don't think it can moisturize it. Try using some oils after you take a bath to your scalp.

How did you go about using the cleansing shampoo for your hair drug test and what kind?

I have used All Clear and Nutregena and Extreme. How did you go about using the cleansing shampoo for your hair drug test and what kind?
Hair gets drugs in it from the follicle where the hair is growing from, so it ends up in the hair shaft itself. Any and all cleaning products will only clean the outside surface of the hair shaft and will have no effect on the inside of the hair shaft thus having no effect on the drug test.

Does Horse shampoo make your hair longer and is it good for your hair?

NEIGHHHHDoes Horse shampoo make your hair longer and is it good for your hair?
Unfortunately, nothing makes your hair longer except time. But horse shampoo can be good in your rotation to ';surprise'; you hair and cut down on buildup. Just don't use it every wash.Does Horse shampoo make your hair longer and is it good for your hair?
Nettle shampoo from the body shop is excellent for thickening your hair and giving it strength. Kelp tablets from a health food shop aids hair growth- i have used them in the past- but too many can upset tum!
it tends to make it stronger and grow a lil faster...tried it before
Are you talking about mane and tail

well its just normal shampoo. and it is perfectly safe for your hair i've used that shampoo on many occasions and it works pretty well it makes your hair soft!
Ever seen a Bald Horse ? Mr.Ed didn't have any problems.
Can you buy it in Tesco?
    no and no again

if u want longer hair get extentions or wait for it to grow. the shampoo is made for horses not humans.
The only time I've ever used horse shampoo is when I worked with this horrible old Percheron named Buck. He was a long-backed, rotten-tempered carriage driving horse who had a knack for laying in fresh, green manure. He'd always find the juciest gems and just roll around in them. I'd get to work and old Buck would be green from the knees down on all four legs. One day his entire belly was green, all four legs were blasted and somehow there was a lovely spot close to his whithers.

Old Buck had to bet blasted with water and scrubbed with a brush nearly every day I worked. We used gallons of horse shampoo.

All this to say, that shampoo is designed to remove mud, muck, manure and green poop stains from inelegant lumps like Buck. I'm guessing it's a bit too harsh for a tender human head.
no, its a myth and has very harsh ingredients in it to remove grease, heavy dirt from horses.
Horse shampoo CAN be drying for your hair, but is great for getting cheap, color specific shampoo.

There is shampoo for chestnuts (red hair), greys (silver/white), bays (black/brunette), and palominos (blonde)
Of course, it gives me a lovely shiney mane!
only if you nag your partner
Nay it worked alright on mane.
its good for making ur hair healthy but not longer. it will make ur hair reach its maximum growth.

What owuld happen if i didn't use shampoo and only conditioner?

What would happen if i only used shampoo like 2-3 times a week instead of everyday ?

would it help my hair grow? What owuld happen if i didn't use shampoo and only conditioner?
i can't remember where i read it. but i read it's better and healthier for you to shampoo your hair as little as you can. i personally use this shampoo and conditioner by jason. it's orgainc biotin shampoo and conditioner. you can find it at vitamin stores. it doesn't contain the ingredient Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (sls) that's bad for your hair. these ingredients are commonly used household cleaners. SLS is basically a foaming agent...thats what causing the suds in shampoos and body wash etc.

i also use dove hair products. it does contain the sls, but seems to be soft on the hair. mostly all shampoos have sls, so it's hard to find the ones that dont. just buy the right shampoo for your hair.

i shampoo my hair 4 times a week and condition everyday. my stylist says a have the best hair out of all her clients. she's always saying how soft and shiny and healthy it looks and feels.

i also give my hair a trim every 6wks and i let it naturally dry as much as i can. blow dryers can dry out your hair if used everyday. same goes for flat irons. also....when ur hair is wet...use a wide tooth comb to brush through it. then just use ur fingers to run thru it thru out the day. excessive brushing can damage hair.

as far as your hair growing faster...it's basically in your diet. eat antioxident rich foods and take ur vitamins. i take a biotin vitamin thats goods for hair cell growth. you can find it at any store. What owuld happen if i didn't use shampoo and only conditioner?
My sister does that, because the shampoo just makes her hair frizzier.

It doesn't make her hair greesy at all. if it'd grow, i don't know.

You should just try it though, for like two weeks. All hairs different(:
Actually, it's said that it's better for your hair, and easier for your hair to grow. It's much more healthy.
um ur hair would probly be gressy but really helthy

What would you recommend as the best straightening shampoo and/or conditioner on the market? Why?

I would recommend Pureology Super Straight Shampoo and Conditoner. All pureology products are thermal protectants as well as Antifade color protectors if you color your hair. They contain no alcohol which most straightening products do and it dries out your hair. Also they are 100% Vegan not tested on Animals.

What is the most highly recommended vitamin or shampoo for hair growth?

im using biotin right now, and have only been using it for like maybe 2 weeks. ive seen a lil difference but i want something else to helpWhat is the most highly recommended vitamin or shampoo for hair growth?
OK there is no shampoo that will give u hair growth. What u have to do is get ur ends cut every six months and take vitamin A , if u want. that helps for the hair and nails. Try using less heat on your hair and do deep conditioners. This will make healthy hair growthWhat is the most highly recommended vitamin or shampoo for hair growth?
go to valorenterprises.com, you'll find a conditioner to use somewhere on the site, it works miracles, or it did for me anyhow.
your hair grows at its own rate, theres little you can do to make it grow faster, but you can take vitamin E for prettier hair and nails!
hair growth really depends on your body or genetics. depends on what vitamins you take and what you eat. no shampoo can really make your hair grow fast
Biotin...shampoo is not going to make your hair grow. You have to treat it from within. Get Biotin or even pre-natals...they work great too
really shampoos will not help your hair grow much. they will help nurish your scalp but there are vitamins you can take to help with hair growth they usually contain b6 and b 12 vitamins and the bottle will say for hair and nails. if it is to regrow hair that is missing you can talk to a dermatologist for advice

  • If a shampoo has least ingedients, is it safer than one with more?

Okay, some shampoos have like 15 ingredients while others have like 30.

Which would be safer? If a shampoo has least ingedients, is it safer than one with more?
what matters is what the ingredients are. if you want a safer shampoo look for natural shampoo that have no chemicals in them, but they might be a little more expensive. If a shampoo has least ingedients, is it safer than one with more?
It depends on what those ingredients are. The shampoo with 15 ingredients could have one ingredient that is a harsher chemical than the 30 ingredients in the other brand. My suggestion is to read the ingredient list and look for things that you recognise. If there's a chemical in there that sounds weird, don't buy it. I buy my shampoo from my salon - it's imported from Italy called Davines http://www.davines.com/ it's expensive but makes your hair look really lovely, Jennifer Aniston uses it. The brand uses all natural ingredients and tries to be environmentally sustainable
well not really. It may depend on how harsh the shampoo ingriedients are. Basically if one has 30 and the other has 15 but the 15 one has poison in it to make your hair nice and shiny, odviously it'snot the safeest one.
Not necessarily. It depends on what they are. Most shampoos are pretty safe, but if you're worried, try something with more NATURAL ingredients.
It really depends on the ingredients it has. Try looking for one with less preservatives and more organic material.
The one's without the toxic ingredients, no matter how many mixed to make a concoction of shampooists.
it depends what the ingredients are.
just use the freakin shampoo. you know they are tested on animals so they are safe for us.
not really unless it has more fragrance then it could irritate your scalp
If they were not safe then they wouldn't be sold..... hopefully.

Just make sure they are not from China and your set ;)
well sometimes. It depends but im pretty sure your safe
better living through chemicals enjoy a nice head of hair and then cancer...........

everyone is different. you should try them to see if they work for you.

It can be hard to really see just from a sample, especially if you only get one use out of it. I liked my sample, but after I bought a bottle and started using it for every wash, my hair started looking just flat. Soft, but flat. (Most shampoos make your hair soft anyway so I don't see that as a big selling point.)
well i know that the regular one makes your hair really soft. =)
ummmmmm well it works for me but what kind of hair do u have it really depends on that! it also can depend on like the color 2!

Is it ok to put extracts in my shampoo?

I was wondersing if i could put extracts in my shampoo, for smell, would it do anything to my hair?Is it ok to put extracts in my shampoo?
adding anything to a chemical, and shampoo is a chemical,

could change its Ph value. could cause chemical reactions or change the properties of the shampoo.

And this will change how the shampoo reacts with your hair and scalp. ..

A bad reaction, could leave you with just a rash or even chemical burns. Becareful what you add.

It is possible to add extracts, as long as you know how they play with the other chemicals.

there are websites on making your own shampoos, but even these should be done carefullyIs it ok to put extracts in my shampoo?
It probably depends on the extracts you're putting in your shampoo, and how much you're putting in. A little bit probably won't be harmful at all, but I find it easier just to use shampoo that says ';With _____ Extracts.'; Then you don't have to worry about anything.
