●||ॐ रुद्रा||●(Its me Rudra!) POLL: What shampoo do you regularly use on daily basis?
This product line is one of the best little known secret, is inexpensive, works wonders and is exclusive to Wal.greens. So for my marvelous locks of long hair I use samy FAT HAIR AMPLIFYING Shampoo which provides me volume when I want to VaVaVaVoom! I also use samy PURE COLORCARE Shampoo to help my color and hi-lites last longer. I do not wash that grey right out of my hair...my hairdresser does!

Once upon a time - 20 decades + I used Herbel Essence. Gracious the fragrance of that shampoo was so fine. When they decided to make an entire line of it with all sorts of ';smells'; is when my love affair with that shampoo ended.
Its this $12 Tea Tree stuff that my barber said I should try because I have dry scalp.

I think I bought it only because I had this stupid idea that it would give me the same pleasure and relaxation I had when she was washing my hair with it. She spent like 20 minutes on it. I think she liked me though. A lot. When she was done massaging my face with a hot towel she asked if I was Italian. (My Dads side, way down the line, is.) I was like 'Uhhhehh... yeah I think a little bit?'
Pantene Texturize Shampoo and Conditioner with an Elastesse complex.....hey my Shampoo has a complex...I didn't know that! LOL Hey did you have to look on your shampoo\conditioner bottle for that information? I bet you did didn't you?
I just started using Shikai, it's not so bad. But I'm gonna start using some Aubrey Organics products since I've heard such great things about them. I'm getting into using natural products for my hair since those chemicals are horrible for it.

This great shampoo called herbalife, it doesn't damage your hair and it contains aloe vera for strong hair, I also use the conditioner from the same company

It smells great all day and keeps my hair soft all day and easy to manage all day
I use shampoo very sparingly because it contains chemicals which are harmful for hairs and skull in long run. But I take care of my hairs by applying curd every sunday.
I use a new kind called Strictly Curls(curl activating and frizz controlling). My hair is so soft afterwards and smells like vanilla:d
I use Finesse =]

I need to know what is the best shampoo for BLACK hair?

I can't find a hair product that it is exclusively for black hair. I dye my hair but I heard that some shampoos are made specially to protect and add extra shine to black hair. I need some help!!I need to know what is the best shampoo for BLACK hair?
Black hair? Try pink lotion. They also carry a black line. Most department stores carry a small section for black people.I need to know what is the best shampoo for BLACK hair?
Pantene Pro-V works well and I have recently tried Dove and that works great!! It leaves your hair smooth and easy to manage afterwards.
Use shampoos that are for colored hair. I have black hair and use Garnier Fructis for colored hair and I am happy with it-

Is Suave Shampoo ok to use on my horse?

So, I was wondering if Suave shampoo would be ok to wash my horse in? I need something super suddsy. I can't remember the name of the stuff I'm using now but it's some expensive horse shampoo thats retarded=] Is there another kind of shampoo/ horse shampoo you guys would reccomend? Would Suave dry out my horses skin to much? Thankks in advancee. Is Suave Shampoo ok to use on my horse?
If you are going to bath your horse I suggest either using a shampoo designed specifically for a horse, which evidently hasen't gone well for you, or an organic shampoo. Why? because one of the chemical ingredients in Suave or other human shampoos could damage/hurt your horse's skin or even destroy his/her hair!

Has anyone used the new Aveda Dry Remedy shampoo/conditioner?

I was a user of their Sap Moss line for years and they have discontinued it and replaced it with the Dry Remedy line. It's supposed to be better than Sap Moss, but was wondering if any one has tried it before I shell out $50 for the set.

With dry curly hair, it's hard to find a natural hair care line that works.

Thanks!Has anyone used the new Aveda Dry Remedy shampoo/conditioner?
Yes I am, and so far is working, at least for me. I have a very dry and damaged hair, and since i started to use the whole ritual I麓ve noticed shine and softness like never before.

I麓ve been having bad hair days for years, and tried a lot of products never getting the best results. Recently I tried the Ojon麓s whole ritual as well and didn麓t make the difference.

This is the first time I use Aveda, and for the 2 weeks i麓ve been using it, it feels great.

I can麓t wait to have a healthy hear to be able to get highlights done soon.....Has anyone used the new Aveda Dry Remedy shampoo/conditioner?
Nope I havnt.

  • Does moisturizing shampoo make your hair oily?

okay. I'll admit it. my hair may be a little dried out from my flat ironing. oh who am i kidding! my poor hair is dead! I flat ironed it almost every day last year(on high)... well I want to do a moisturizing shampoo, but after it is healthy again, will the shampoo make it oily? I was going to use the garnier fructis moisture works or strength and repair. which works better?Does moisturizing shampoo make your hair oily?
I already naturally have oily skin but moisturizing shampoo doesn't make it any more so. I don't think that it would make your hair oily since you already have very dry hair in the first place. If I were you I would definitely use the strenght and repair shampoo because straightening your hair not only dries your hair out but damages it and gives you split ends as well.Does moisturizing shampoo make your hair oily?
    No it doesn't.

The one mistake people make with dry hair is that they put conditioner on their scalp/

As long as you have a moisturing shampoo, nothing too cheap, and you only condition from the pony tale line down, and leave it in for a few mins then wash out, you will restpre life into your hair.

Just remember, shampoo's like pantene, whilst they are fantastic actually put a layer of silicone on your hair, and then colouring it is too difficult (it doens't hold the colour). Garneir Fructis is fantastic, but as a hairdresser I recommend all my clients purchase Shwarkof- in my belief that is the best supermarket brand!!

    GOOD LUCK
i use vo5 moisture milks shampoo and conditioner. they smell sooooo good, are only like a dollar each, and work really well. i love passionfruit smoothie. good luck!

If hair is dead then why must we shampoo and condition it?

Shampoo is mainly used to clean the scalp %26amp; dirts %26amp; oils too.

Conditioner is used to condition the hair with nourishment(*_*)

But since your bald, you can just wipe it with a towel or something!

GOOD LUCK(*_*)If hair is dead then why must we shampoo and condition it?
    Uhmm.

Obviously because it keeps your hair smelling fresh and clean.

It also makes it not greasy.

And it makes you look better.

shamppo and conditionair give it Volume, Help colored treated hair, makes it straight or curly, helps split ends or dried hair, ECT...

It also makes you feel more clean.

    And Not smell bad.

That's also why you should take a shower. If hair is dead then why must we shampoo and condition it?
That is an EXCELLENT question! I never thought about it like that before but it's true...I guess we do it because if we don't then it starts to smell bad, and because most people in this world judge us strictly on how we look (especially if you're a woman) that we have to keep out hair nice for them. The world is a very messed up place, but that's just how it is I guess.
Because dirt and oil from your head collect in it and make it look extremely unappealing. So I suggest you wash your hair you greaser (lol from the outsiders)
Because if you don't your hair will be all dry and screwed up. It's like clothes if you don't wash it with detergent and stuff it will still be dirty.
    well obviously hair is dead

you shampoo and condition it so you don't look like a scum bag
Same reason you wash and condition your clothes!!
So that it doesn't stink and looks good... Kind of weird that a girl is asking........
To make it softer, and moisturize it so it does not dry out like hay.
Because if you don't, it will get greasy and stinky.
    GET DREADLOCKS!!
So that it doesn't smell and look like ****. DUH!

What drugstore shampoo/conditioner promotes faster hair growth?

i have hair short like this avatar but i want it long.

i used to have it past my elbows but in september i cut it that short. i regret it and i want long hair fast. please help me.What drugstore shampoo/conditioner promotes faster hair growth?
I doubt shampoo or conditioner will increase hair length. You should use almond oil for your hair. Dove shampoo and conditioner has more moisturizer in it so it reduces hair breakage. If you have split ends, get rid of it because it will cause your hair to become weak and break thus making it shorter. Apply a combination of coconut oil, olive oil and almond oil to your hair. It will help in increasing your hair length. What drugstore shampoo/conditioner promotes faster hair growth?
    sunsillk
shampoo with neem leaf extract and with henna is said to be good for your hair.. also it is said that a weak infusion of curry leaves is good for your hair; leave on for half hour, rinse out .....and neem leaves, the same way

it is not just the shampoo that keeps your hair and scalp clean and healthy, but you should be sure to trim the ends even so your hair looks nice and you feel good about it, and in addition, be sure to brush your hair nicely every day to be sure your scalp is massaged..... and when you do a shampoo, make a little massage motion with the tips of your fingers but not so much that it snarls up your hair, then rinse well with cool (not hot) water

Does clarifying shampoo make a big difference?

Its supposed to remove build up from products right? so I am going to get some tonight but are any geared toward naturally curly long frizzy prone hair? I always thought they'd be harsh and remove all the natural oils? I am worried I have alot of moisturizers accrued on my head from years of pantene curl hydrating products so I want a clean slate. Does clarifying shampoo make a big difference?
There is one major rule when using a clarifying shampoo... you can only use then one time a week! If you use them everyday then you will strip all the natural oils from your hair. Pantene products are HORRIBLE on your hair. The brand is basically the worst you could use and so many many people use it! Get a good clarifying shampoo and wash your hair with it once weekly. Then condition it as normal. Your hair will be looking great! Does clarifying shampoo make a big difference?
I use the Nuetrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo once a week. Love it!! And it's affordable and available at Target, WalMart, drugstores, online-just about anywhere.

    http://search.live.com/products/?q=neutr鈥?/a>

My hair is long (to my bra), layered and naturally wavy-so I use products daily. This shampoo works great with my texture. I'm not sure if it's recommended for color or perm treated hair-read the box for directions. I make sure to really massage (not scratch!) it into my hair and scalp and rinse really well. You'll feel the difference after one use...now I sound like a commercial :)

OMG YES! it definitely does. if you get a pretty gentle one, then it will not be so harsh. but remember, if you are cleaning up all those moisturizers, you still need a good conditioner/moisturizer afterwards because then your hair will be healthy.

i don't really know any geared toward curly frizzy hair, sorry!

Will curl shampoo work if i have straight hair?

and what kind is the best to use if it will? Will curl shampoo work if i have straight hair?
    Hey there!

If you have straight hair, it may or may not work depending on straight your hair is. If you have slick straight hair, it probably wont work =(. Then again, if you have a little wave to it, it may work! =) If nothing works for you, you can just scrunch your hair with gel and use hold!

Thanks for your question =)!Will curl shampoo work if i have straight hair?
Eh... I have super-straight hair, and curling shampoo only gives me a slight wave at best. It looks like I went to bed with wet hair in a messy bun. What I would do if you want waves is use that curling shampoo (I use whatever's available... They all provide the same results for me) and immediately after lightly towel drying your hair, apply a good amount of mousse or gel - gel makes your hair stiffer. Then use your blow-dryer's diffuser (if you have one) to dry your hair. If you don't have a diffuser, try putting your hair in multiple buns (about 8ish) and blow drying that way. Messy buns if you want crazy waves and ballet-buns if you want loose spirals/waves. Hope that helps!
No, I don't think that curl shampoos have that much ';muscle'; to make your straight hair curl. The only shampoos that I find make a huge difference are purple shampoos that make blond hair stand out/brighter. I do think it might be a good idea to simply ask staff at a store like ';Trade Secrets';.
well not really. maybe a bit... but curl shampoo is really just for people that have curly hair and they want it to look the BEST it can be! if you want curl get a perm or simply take a curling iron to it!

    hope this helps :)
No it won't sorry. I tried it a few times and it never worked. My mom is a hairdresser and told me it wouldn't but I guess I had to see for myself.
yes it does, but you have to put some sort of mousse or gel in it after and you might want to use a curling iron.
Sorry, but unless you have some kind of natural curl or wave in your hair, it won't work.
yes it will work and the best kind is the one that you buy at stores

Best shampoo and conditioner for my hair?

I have dirty blonde hair, but my hair is flat. I want volume in my hair, but I also want it to be shiny. I don't want to color to get darker, I would actually like the shampoo to make it a lighter shade or just keep it the same. With the shampoo I use now, my hair gets greasy at the roots so that it makes it look flat, dull, and just really bad. Please help me by suggesting a shampoo and conditioner (it doesn't have to be the same brand) that would help make my hair shiny (but not greasy!), full of volume, and a natural blonde color. :)Best shampoo and conditioner for my hair?
We probably have similar hair. My favorite shampoo and conditioner is Pantenen Sheer Volume. And as an added conditioner I use Fructis Leave on Conditioner. This is great because you can add it to the hair below the roots and it will not weigh it down or make it look greasy. I have tried many brands that were in all price ranges and I keep coming back to these.Best shampoo and conditioner for my hair?
you need to change your shampoo every 3 to 6 months as your hair gets used to it.

I use Lush products, they have some great solid shampoos and one 'Gadiva' is a two in one that works, it also smells great. Also 'Ultra Shine' as it'll give you lovely shiny hair, but wont make it greasy.

I use organix. It doesn't give me volume but It keeps my hair soft, healthy and shiny. Which in turn, the healthy part, keeps my hair from laying flat or being damaged. Your going to have to read all the ingredients on the shampoo's and conditioners you want to use. Its not hard. Just google the product in question and Ingredients.

    For example. Organix shampoo ingredients.

If it contains any of these ingredients stay away from them. They are very harmful to your hair and can make hair either greasy looking or damaged looking. Also wash your hair every day. There are rumors floating about the internet but the truth is that if you have a good shampoo and conditioner you don't have to worry about it. Of course if you use a crappy shampoo like pantene then by all means do wash your hair every other day. But to avoid that just buy good products. Even salon products sometimes carry these ingredients. I used bed head for a while and was wondering why my hair looked like straw. It turned out that it contained one of the Ammonium listed. However Organix has different shampoos for different hair types. I use the cocoa nut one because my hair needs more moisture and oils. I'll put their web site in the sources box.

What's the best kind of Conditioner/shampoo to use for really long hair that is weak and brittle.?

Okay, I have really long, THICK hair.

I love my hair and its really pretty.. But.. It's kind of weak, and it breaks easily. and when I brush it, if I move my hair a certain way. or wait to brush it again until later that night, or the next day it is VERY tangly!!

the shampoo i use is head and shoulders.it works really good for people with long hair.i use a special conditioner that's very pricey and i don't recomed it.don't use cheep ones either.target brans are the worst.put your conditioner on after you take a shower.that way it dosen't get tangled.buy knot spray and use it at night when you brush your hair.and wear ur hair in a braid when u go to bed and when you wake up brush it.What's the best kind of Conditioner/shampoo to use for really long hair that is weak and brittle.?
I have fine straight hair that I have to be a bit fussy with to keep in peak condition. It always seems that whenever I find a good product it is then discontinued. I find I have to change shampoos fairly regularly though. The last week I found a new shampoo/conditioner in one that my hair seems to like - It is called Palmolive ';Fashion Girl'; Fruity Fun, Shining and Detangling. Smells like tutti frutti though!!! I have been putting a little extra conditioner on the ends to be doubly sure my hair is moisturised well though. Good result.
The Kirkland Signature shampoo and conditioner from Costco is pretty cheap and works well for my hair(similar to yours). It really does a great job at moisturizing. [:
yes Pantene Smooth and Sleek usually works for me, its so easy combed after you use both the shampoo then the conditioner
I use Pantene Great Lengths. Perhaps you could give that a try.

Hairapy is great i use the blue bottleCan anyone reccomend a good color safe shampoo and conditioner that isn't too pricey?
I only use professional products and there are so many out there that would be good for colored hair. But if you want something over the counter, try Pantene, Tres Semme, or Aussie.
Avon sells a very good shampoo and conditioner called Advance Techniques Color Reviving Shampoo for color protection. It costs only about $3.49 and is on sale quite often. You can find an Avon rep or go to www.avon.com to order. I used to use only salon products until I found this. Hope it works for you!

Does conditioner dry out hair, or only shampoo?

I have very dry hair as I get older. I used to wash and condition my hair every day. But now I'm trying to shampoo only 2 - 3 times per week, just to not dry out my hair so much. I'm still using conditioner every day, is that a good idea? Any other suggestions on avoiding dry hair? I use Aveeno moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Thanks.Does conditioner dry out hair, or only shampoo?
only shampoo. Conditioner moistuizes your hair. :)Does conditioner dry out hair, or only shampoo?
Use hair cream instead of conditioners. Conditioners are meant to be used after shampoo.Reduce the rate at which you use hair relaxers.Good nutrition also encourages good hair growth and texture.

  • Girls I have a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner so I understand conditioner does not have to get on scalp true?

So if the conditioner is not supposed to get on the scalp in my case what do I do since I have a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditionerGirls I have a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner so I understand conditioner does not have to get on scalp true?
2 in 1 is usually very light conditioner, so unless you have really oily hair naturally, I wouldn't worry too much about it, the shampoo part will take most of it off anyway. If your hair does look greasy, buy separate products next time.Girls I have a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner so I understand conditioner does not have to get on scalp true?
ive been told that 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner isnt as good as using them seperatly but this thing about conditioner shouldnt touch the scalp, its no what its meant for but it doesnt hurt it, because u have to let the shampoo touch your scalp or youll get like dandruff or something.

Does bella say something about using strawberry shampoo or body wash in any of the four books?

i want to find the quote in the book. but i just cant i want to say its in twilight but then im not sure because if i remember correctly bella takes like a depressing shower after edward leaves in new moon. please help im so confused..Does bella say something about using strawberry shampoo or body wash in any of the four books?
I'm trying hard, but really, no matter how hard I think, how much I try to remember, there is nothing that springs to mind as a less important fact to quote from a book.Does bella say something about using strawberry shampoo or body wash in any of the four books?
It's in the first book. When Edward and Bella are in the biology room she thinks because of the way he is acting that she stinks. And when she smells her hair, she is like it smells like my usual strawberry shampoo or something like that. And then it's in another book somewher also when Edward is at her house and she wants to clean up some so she takes a shower and uses that same shampoo or whatever it is. So that's about it though. Hope this is what you were looking for!
This is the part I remember....

    ';....I didn't look up as I set my book on the table and took my seat, but I saw his posture change from the corner of my eye. He was leaning away from me, sitting on the extreme edge of his chair and averting his face like he smelled something bad. Inconspicuously, I sniffed my hair. It smelled like strawberries, the scent of my favorite shampoo. It seemed an innocent enough odor. I let my hair fall over my right shoulder, making a dark curtain between us, and tried to pay attention to the teacher....';

and...it was somewhere else but I forgot....And it's not the part where Edward leaves...I checked....
No, in the first book, when she first sits next to Ed in bio, he makes it visible that he doesn't like her. She sniffs her hair, checking to see if that's the problem, but she says it's an innocent odor of her strawberry shampoo. Hope I helped!
In the first book, during the scene in biology class, she smells her own hair to see if that is why Edward is repelled. She mentions at that point that she uses strawberry-scented shampoo.
Yep. When she first sits next to him in Biology, she smells her hair to see if thats the problem but it just smelled of strawberry shampoo :)
It says that Bella were using Strawberry shampoo on Twilight
yeh i think when she has a shower! might be at their honeymoon or when shes having problems and has a shower to calm herself down :)
yeah she does. about shampoo. first book.
    no
    which one?

Ever used garnier fructis body and volume shampoo?

What are your opinions?Ever used garnier fructis body and volume shampoo?
Yes use it every day the best product for my hair type anyway. Tried loads of others but this is best by far.Ever used garnier fructis body and volume shampoo?
I have very fine hair, and I didn't get any volume or body from the Fructise shampoo and conditioner. I use Dove body and volume shampoo and conditioner, and I like that very much. I also like the smell. My daughter has dry hair, and it gets really frizzy, and the Garnier shampoo and conditioner for her type of hair doesn't work for her either.
i use it every day the shampoo and conditioner. it doesn't really give me any spectacular volume. but then again, no volumizing shampoo or condition really does. so i continue to use it anyway.
I haven't but my mom does.

It looks really great but then her hair's short.

It could take you some time but it depends on your hair :)
i love it my hair feels so nice and looks way healthy too.i was using herbal essence boy what a difference i will never go back.
i tried....n my started falling badly....but thats bcuz pantene suits my hair

After dying your hair, is the conditioning shampoo essential?

On the box, it says you have to use the conditioning shampoo after rinsing out the dye from your hair. The problem is that i finished the tube last time. Is it ok for me to dye my hair without using it after??After dying your hair, is the conditioning shampoo essential?
Any conditioner would be fine, although don't be tempted to do a deep conditioning treatment immediately after a colour as this will cause you to loose some of the fresh colour. wait for that about 48hrs.

Use whatever conditioner you would usually use when washing your hair - if you like to colour your hair be sure that the conditioner does not contain silicone as this can coat y our hair in an uneven way and stop colour from taking evenly.

Some conditioner that promote shine contain silicone.

Before applying colour as long as it is not permanent I always advise the use of a clarifying shampoo to remove any build up of conditioners, styling aids etc. Clarifying shampoos are made by most good hair product companies.

Hope this helps you! After dying your hair, is the conditioning shampoo essential?
it is ok, as long as you make sure you spend bit more time lathering to ensure it cleans out proper, and the conditioning part is for your hair to look more shiny, but you can use any conditioner, it will work.

    good luck
yeah its fine. but dying your hair dries out your hair sooo bad. it says to use that shampoo/conditioner after so it hydrates your hair, thats all.
Its best to use deep conditioning often in your hair and hot oil to prevent dandruff %26amp; dry hair
yes it is for some reason the dye dry out ur hair so i think you should both.

Is it true that if you use shampoo in your hair everyday will you lose your hair when your 30?

It makes your hair dry, damaged, and it does make you lose hair over the years. But it WON';T turn your hair gray when you're thirty. That is totally not true.

Its better to wash your hair every other day.

What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?

I am doing a hunter show and I want to know what works best! What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?
Mane and Tail is probably your cheapest option. Farnam products work great. You can't beat Quicksilver for white (this is what I use on my paints that are mostly white and I constantly have judges asking me how I get my paints so white!). And Pantene is the best conditioner and the scent lasts. Don't use just any human shampoos and conditioners though, horse skin has a different pH then ours and can be irritated by some human soaps. What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?
Well I just use people shampoo and conditioner, or mane n tail. What ever I have. As for a conditioner spray I use Pepi spray, it works great! (for the mane and tail). I wouldnt use the Pepi spray on the legs because it attracts dust. As for the body I use Absorbine body shine. Thats all I can think of for now.

Mane and Tail. IT gives a beautiful shine!
i would use mane and tail it works great it even smells good!
most places that sell horse stuff sell shampoo for horses [which is low sud and specially formulated for horses]

there are a lot to choose from depending on the colour of your horse..then there is the main and tail conditioner..go easy if you are planing on plaiting
Just go to walmart and get the cheapest shampoo/conditioner you can find in the bath section.
Depends on the color of the horse. If it's not a grey, or paint with a lot of white on it, I like Orvus because it's inexpensive, and takes just a very small amount to make lots of lather. Now, for a grey or anything with lots of white, I love Farnam white'n'brite....with just a touch of Mrs Smith's blueing thrown in. Lather them up well, let them set for about 5-10 minutes, then rinse WELL. If you don't, you'll wind up with a bluish horse. Now, for conditioner, I like the cowboy magic detangler and shine, although if you're wanting to braid, it may make things just a little slick for you to work with. Great stuff though. You work it in, comb through the hair, then after that, until they get dirty again, the comb/brush just glides through. Love that stuff.

Can I only pack three ounces of shampoo if I'm taking my carry-on on the plane? What if I put it in my suitcas?

You can only bring three ounces of liquids each on the airplane in a carry-on right?

So would it be okay if I just put larger bottles of liquids (shampoos, conditioners, lotion) more than three ounces, in my suitcase that's going to be shipped out?Can I only pack three ounces of shampoo if I'm taking my carry-on on the plane? What if I put it in my suitcas?
the 100ml (3.4oz) liquid restriction is for hand baggage only, but larger quantities can be packed in your checked luggage. Can I only pack three ounces of shampoo if I'm taking my carry-on on the plane? What if I put it in my suitcas?
The larger bottles must be checked. 3 oz bottles are allowed in your carry on bag. You probably won't need shampoo on the flight so check it. You might want to carry a toothbrush, small tube of toothpaste and a tiny bottle of hand sanitizer. Hope that helps. Have fun on your trip.
The limit for liquids is 3 oz, but they do say you can only have 1 bottle. Put liquids in zip lock bag (in case of leakage) and place in your check bag under between clothes so to give some protection.

    yepp!
Only if we don't have any more, than I fill it about 1/2 and inch to an inch and tell my mom we need more.
that's what i'm going to have to do like right now cause i ran out of conditioner, and i need to shower before i go to bed.
Not really. If I see that there is no shampoo or conditioner, I just quickly run around the house looking for some.
Yes, it's like anything else, waste not want not.
It works for the shampoo, but not with the conditioner.
Yes I do, even though I can afford to get a new bottle. I was brought up not to waste anything.
    Yup! :) I don't waste a drop.
lol! I never even thought of that, but I always have a bunch of different hair shampoos and conditionaars cuz my sister can't decides if she wants the fuller hair, the smoother hair, or the idk wutever the other ones are hair. I never am at the end of the bottle. Usually that's my sister. lol!

ps I don't think thats weird at all I just never thought of it.

Yeah. But I only do that if I cannot find any other bottle of shampoo in our house...
omg i do that!!! lol i thought i was the only one
lol no ... let me guess...your mom is a penny pincher?
    lol i refill it also!
yeah i fill it with water.. then shake the bottle and get it out.. then i recycle the empty bottle =)
Nope. It'd be too much work and I wouldn't get enough shampoo/conditioner. My hair is way too long.
Only if I jump out to look in the drawer and realize that I have no conditioner at all left, then I'll do that. But I usually don't ever run out.
I do so i can get it all out. Saves money, u no?!!
    no I'm not
I do too. You paid for it so get all of it. Just put a little water in the bottle shake it up and you have a good 1 or 2 washes.

How long does it take for lice shampoo to work?

I got the one called nix it said it kills there eggs to is that true? I just found out my daughter had it yesterday so don't think it was real bad yet but she said it still is a little itchy! when should I redo treatment? How long does it take for lice shampoo to work?
Make sure you do not over do it. Assuming the medication works, it will still take a few days for the itchiness to go away. This is because the shampoo only kills the lice and do not heal the wounds. The wounds are what causing the pain / itch.

    Quote:

    ';Treatment

Your doctor can recommend a medicated shampoo, cream rinse, or lotion to kill the lice. These may be over-the-counter (OTC) or prescription medications, depending on what treatments have already been tried. Medicated lice treatments usually kill the lice and nits, but it may take a few days for the itching to stop.

    It's important to follow the directions exactly because these products are insecticides. Applying too much medication or too frequently can increase the risk of causing harm. Following the directions on the product label is also important to ensure that the treatment works properly.';

    http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/鈥?/a>

Sometime, over the counter medicine is simply too weak to be effective. In this case, you will need to see a doctor. Tell him what medicine you have already use and how long, these information will be helpful for him.How long does it take for lice shampoo to work?
    Read the instructions.

And keep in mind the itchiness can last after all lice are gone.

The only way to acurately check if all lice are gone or if there is a new infestation is a fine comb DAILY!
read the directions on the bottle. should be done often and thoroughly. If done right it should only take 2 or 3 weeks. wash all her clothes and sheets and pillowcases and towels in HOT water. be sure you comb her hair a lot to get rid of the nits, or it will take longer to get rid of them. and check everybody else in the family, because those things get to evrybody.

Is there anything i can substitute bunny shampoo with?

i need to give my bunny a bath but i have no bunny shampoo. I have kitten and puppy shampoo.. is there anything else i could use to wash the bunny with?Is there anything i can substitute bunny shampoo with?
Bunnys do not need to be bathed, it's actually very stressful for them, and can be dangerous. What you can do is get a damp clothe and wipe them down, or scrub more on the bottom area if it's really dirty, and if your bunny has white on them you can use white vinegar to get rid of urine stains. Is there anything i can substitute bunny shampoo with?
Damp wipes, without water! You should never bathe a rabbit unless it's an absolute emergency, it's too easy for them to get chill and die of hypothermia before they're dry because their fur is so thick. Just wipe off the dirt from its fur. If it dries you can carefully brush it out with a slicker brush.
You should not be using ANY shampoo, whatsoever, under any circumstances. Rabbits do not get baths in the sense you seem to think they do. In the perfect scenario, a rabbit will NEVER be bathed. They are extremely clean animals and getting them wet just makes them stressed out, which can lead to illness.

To wash a rabbit, you get a towel with some warm water and you gently try to remove whatever is on there. If it's something a little more stuck on, you can fill a sink with less than an inch of water and try again with the towel. You do not want to get the rabbit soaking wet, just where they need a little assistance in cleaning.

  • What's the best Herbal Essences Scent (shampoo and conditioner)?

and if you can, plz say what's so good about it and what hair type you have

and any hair tips you might have

ps: my hair type is normal to thick and between straight and wavy and prone to frizzness if air dried

thanks!!What's the best Herbal Essences Scent (shampoo and conditioner)?
my hair sounds exactly like yours and i personally like the herbal essences hello hydration because it makes my hair nice and shiny and healthy. Also, at the end of your shower rinse your hair with cold water because this closes the cuticles and prevents some of the frizziness. What's the best Herbal Essences Scent (shampoo and conditioner)?
Thank you for answering my question. Now here is an answer to yours:

My favorite Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner is the Totally Twisted (purple bottle). I love (and so does my boyfriend) the way it smells. This will most likely make your hair a little more wavy than normal. I have really curly hair and this definitely keeps the bounce in my hair and doesn't make it frizzy. If you want to keep the waviness in your hair but not have the frizziness, why don't you try the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Mousse? That's what I use and even if you let it air dry, it doesn't get frizzy, just dries into place (it also doesn't give that hard wet look once it totally dries). Hope this helps and good luck!
ok i use dangerously straight shampoo and conditioner it smells great and my hair is straight/wavy like yours and i also use the none of your frizzness cream so it doesn't frizz up when i straighten it smell great too! try the shampoo I'm using or long term relationship ok =] hope this helps!
Herbal Essences is not too great. Try Philosophy products they make some great shampoos and conditioners that really help get your hair back in shape. Mine was dry mess until I used Philosophy. The day a friend sent me a link to a site about their products was a day that changed my life...or at least my hair.lol good luck!
    dude.

my hair is like the same way!!

i personally like all of them but i tried totally twisted(curly/wavy hair) and it made it like freaking fantabulous...hah well maybe not..

i can't really think f a word for it but let's just say it made my hair not frizzy and easy to style :D

    and it smells AH-MAZING (:

    hope i helped(=

my hair is ridiculously thick and straight...my fav herbal essences scent is the long term-relationship shampoo and conditioner.

it smells like red raspberry with a hunt of vanilla! it's awesome. my boyfriend loves it too!
none your frizzness smells pretty nice. it is in a orange bottle. it had shampoo comditioner, and anti-friz cream that works really well. it has ingrediants that help go againest friz and will calm it down.

    Good Luck
i think its tropical; its in a blue bottle. my hairs quite similar to yours and it makes it smell really nice, and doesnt make it too greasy or dry.

    http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind鈥?/a> please answer mine ! :)
I am a fan of the drama clean, but sometimes I switch to hello hydration during the winter months, but I live in PA so the hair gets pretty bad up here in the winter.
the orange bottle is the best one. nd thnx 4 helping me decide to go to the 8th gradee formal. nd ma crush likes me so he is goin to ask me. to go out with him. imm soooo excited.
I like drama clean (green bottle). I have thick hair, and it really does a good job. Occasionally I'll use the None of your Frizziness, in an orange bottle. That really calms the hair down.
hello hydration the blue kind. i use it and it smells reaaly good and makes my hair shiny and soft you should give it a try
none of them you should be using aussie for your hair the 3min miracle

if your hair is dry you should worry about the smell but how well the product works on your hair.
hello hydration smells sooooo good. and there's another one..i think it's called body envy. idk it's in an orange bottle.
you answered mine so i am gonna answer yours. =] i like the ocean breeze scent the best
the blue one or the pinkish orange one...those smell amazing

i have extra thick hair that gets frizzy no matter what. those are great
colour me happy, i got so many compliments when i used it
    none of your frizzness

    i love that scent

    :o)

HERBAL ESSENCES IS THE WORST THING EVER!!!!!!!I HATE IT HATE HATE HATE HATE IT! IT RUINED MY HAIR ! NEVER USE THAT CRAP

What shampoo should I use for volumized, soft, shiny, frizz free hair?

I love Biolage products. They always leave my hair nice ( I have naturally frizz ball hair). Recently I tried Herbal Essence, as Biolage is expensive, so far it has worked out beautifully but I haven't been using it long enough to notice build up. Maybe it's actually a good cheap alternative! What shampoo should I use for volumized, soft, shiny, frizz free hair?
most ppl would tell u pantene pro-v, but don't use it. it has wax and makes hair totally damaged. u just can't see it because the wax coats ur hair to make it ';look'; like it's all silky smooth but it has build-up, and if u go to any salon, they will tell u not to use it.

i recommend TRESemme Smooth and Silky. What shampoo should I use for volumized, soft, shiny, frizz free hair?
I would say Aussie-Catch The Wave. It makes your hair more full and controls frizz. Good luck!
    KERASTASE

Can you use spray n wash to shampoo carpets?

I do. Just to make sure try it in a little unseen corner first to make sure it does not discolor your carpet. Can you use spray n wash to shampoo carpets?
Whenever I spill something on the carpet that stains I use spray n wash on it. It works really well to get the stains out. I always try to scrub the stain out after spraying it and then get a wet cloth to scrub it with after that. Don't use anything with bleach though or it will bleach your carpet! Can you use spray n wash to shampoo carpets?
Use anything that you want. My favorite mixture for a steam cleaner is 1 cup of white vinegar..1 cup of ammonia..a couple of ounces of wisk or your favorite laundry detergent per gallon tank. Detergent..basicall for the fragrance. Don't use amonia if you have pets.
I wouldn't try it. It could fade in the area where you put it. Just go to Wal-Mart and get some carpet spray. It works really good.
    yes is a foam spray

What shampoo should i use to take out hair dye?

i dyed my hair black and i want it to be dark brown,

i know some shampoos help the hair fade faster but what kinds?

or any other help on making my hair fade to a dark brown faster? What shampoo should i use to take out hair dye?
I learned from experience. I did pretty much the same thing but I asked someone in the beauty department how to get it lighter and she told me to find a shampoo that is specifically for stripping chlorine from your hair, so like a swimmers shampoo, because the saltine solutions in the product also strip color from your hair. It helps but you have to use it a good bit and really rinse your hair out with hot water while you use this shampoo. If all else fails go to the store and pick up a product that takes the color out of your hair, I have personally used ';color opps';, it is suppose to take you back to your natural color and than you can dye it the color you really want. What shampoo should i use to take out hair dye?
Use a clarifying shampoo, it should help remove more of the colour pigment than a regular shampoo. alsoo you could try using a clarifying treatment.

But Ive found from personal experience that white vinegar watered down in a 1:3 ration works great at helping clarify.

Blacks very hard to get rid of though,

Do shampoo companies make a profit off of making you think?

your hair is just fine the way it is?

How do weapon manufacturers that manufacture products that are used for national security promote their goods?Do shampoo companies make a profit off of making you think?
I'm sure they just pay Bush and Cheney off the books like Halliburton, Blackwater, etc. You know, bribes. Most of them have retired high ranking military men working for them.Do shampoo companies make a profit off of making you think?
Weapons makers have trade shows. They advertise in trade journals.

yeah you can, but use the like really dark brown one. i forget wt it's called...
    i agree with payten.
why don't use the pantene black haired shampoo?

Explain scientifically why we often use hair conditioner after washing our hair with shampoo?

Your hair is made of protein called keratin.

Between proteins, some bonds form called sulfur bonds, where atoms of sulfur within the protein structure bond to other parts of the protein. This causes tangled, frizzy hair.

Some conditioners are designed to break these sulfur bonds, and to leave hair smooth and silky.

How would I keep clean in the wild without resorting to modern conveniences (shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)?

I watched an episode of Man vs. Wild today, and wondered how someone would stay clean if they stayed out there indefinitely. Just curious. How would I keep clean in the wild without resorting to modern conveniences (shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)?
Indefinitely, I believe is the question, isn't it? Hard woods like maple, ash and alder, posses high levels of lie.Build a fire out of these and what will be left is a fine white ash..Take this and mix water with it. like soup.then strain off the liquid and mix with tallow, now you've got lie soap when it cools. It works and you'll have to find something to mix with it for a better smell, whatever flowers that might take your fancy, stinky ones work.....Wash with that ! That white ash can also be used like baking powder teaspoon for teaspoon in baking goods ! How would I keep clean in the wild without resorting to modern conveniences (shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)?
I agree with the Dr. Bonner's liquid soap answer, especially the peppermint soap. Diluted you can use it to brush your teeth, as well as wash yourself, clothes, or any utensils, and it is biodegradable.

While it's unlikely people will be primping the way they might do at home, for Native Americans, a certain level of cleanliness was still expected when camping. Don't make it easy for the bears, etc, to smell you, LOL.
We used baby wipes in the field when I was in the Marines. Outside of that, find a creek, river, or other convenient water source. Get in it, and scrub with sand (not mud or loose dirt). Sand will cut the grime off of you. Rinse in the river, (or whatever water you found). If you aren't mobile and this body of water is near a stationary camp, be sure to go at least 100 yards downstream from your camp site. The farther the better. Never urinate or defecate in this water or on the ground within (100 yards for urine, 300 yards for fecal matter) of your camp. Bury all solid waste. If you are stationary, and use your camp area for a toilet, you WILL regret it. Wash clothes in the same body of water that you bathe in, but farther downstream still. This way the water closest to you will be cleaner for drinking and cooking. If all you have is a small pond or other non-flowing water, do not bathe or wash anything in it, instead use a container to remove water and clean your body, dishes, and clothes seperately and well away from your camp.

Hope that helps. This is an effective set of tips, and more hygenic that alot of what you may hear. (so you don't get dysentary or some other nasty junk). And of course, boil or otherwise purify any water used to cook or drink with iodine tablets or a purifier.
Nobody is out there to see or smell you, what the point of being clean? Every once in a while, its nice to take a dip in a stream or lake to freshen up, but most of the time its not a concern. On long trips I bring a toothbrush to avoid dental problems, I only use water, sometimes I boil spruce needles for flavor.

If you do want to bring soap, I recommend Dr Bronner's. You can wash your hair, body, face, teeth, hands, dishes, clothes etc... with the same soap, no harmful ingredients.
One more tip: bring along dental floss. I keep a box of floss in my office, and after a meal or coffee, I would floss my teeth and rinse. It is more effective than brushing because the floss goes into inaccessible crevices.

As long as your mouth, armpits and the area between your legs are clean, you won't feel yucky even if the rest of your body is grimy.
A true survivalist would know that certain plants can be used for soaps. Here is a link about that

One way to get clean is with a sweat lodge.

    http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Sweat-Bath鈥?/a>

All you need is a fire pit and a tarp, tepee or grass shelter. You let the fire die down to coals and build the grass hut shelter over it. Then get inside and pour water on the rocks you left in the fire. This steam will make you sweat, the more sweat the better, then you run out of the sweat lodge and jump into a river or lake. It鈥檚 very refreshing and gets you clean. Another way is to coat your body with mud. Let it dry on your skin, then jump in a body of water. This works quite well also.

You can also wash up with snow, near a large fire.

Of you go into a lake you can wash yourself by using a shirt and just rub as hard as you can. Also if you find a flat rock and put it into your shirt wrap it up and go lightly that would work too. hair just use your fingers to get everything out.

What is a good smelling dog shampoo?

My puggle is a very smelly dog. We bathe him once every 2 weeks but after 3 days or so he goes back to smelling bad. He's an indoor dog.

Whats a good recommendation in shampoo that has lasting scent??What is a good smelling dog shampoo?
I swear by a shampoo and conditioner called Aloveen. Its an oatmeal and aloe shampoo and it smells divine! My dogs all smell lovely for ages after their baths and their coats are soft and skin not irritated at all. What is a good smelling dog shampoo?
Fresh n Clean-original has a long lasting scent. My groomer uses it. There is a rinse and spray that is also available. You can get it a many pet stores and on line. My dogs smell great for weeks after they have been groomed.

You may also want to make sure the wrinkles in his face (if he has them) are kept clean. They attract moisture and infections, and could easily make your dog smell.
How about Virbac oatmeal shampoo, if available in your part of the world? It's soothing, not drying and has a soft fragrance. As he smells ';doggie'; so fast, why not get the vet to check him for ear or yeast infection which does make a dog smell bad? Do clean his ears twice monthly, if not already done, but ask the vet or a groomer how to clean it so that you don't damage the ear drums and cause deafness.
Get Groomed, naturally glamorous beauty. The LuLu Pink Grapefruit is the BEST. It has a fresh scent. The line has a freshen-up spritz, detangle spritz, shampoo, conditioner I could go on and on. My Puppy Loves it, he jumps and runs circles around me when he sees the bottles.
I also have a smelly dog and we use a shampoo which contains Tea Tree Oil.It seems to make her smell better for longer and is excellent for skin conditions and keeping fleas at bay!
Rub him with bacon. Bacon is delicious.

I just bought it and want to use on my cats they are about a year old. is this stuff dangerous to them? any complaints from this product? anything else you can tell me about this product?Snetry Purr Scriptions flea and tick shampoo for cats and kittens?
Flea baths are regarded as the most toxic treatment for a cat. Cats have very thin skin that absorbs the chemicals into the bloodstream. Cats also groom themselves by licking their fur and will pickup any traces of the chemicals and ingest them. I personally would never use any type of flea bath on my cat.Snetry Purr Scriptions flea and tick shampoo for cats and kittens?
You are better off buying a flea product from your vet. OTC flea products are

NON effective. If your cat has fleas, the topical products like Advantage will work. They may seem expensive, but they work. The stuff from the stores are questionable at best.

Head and Shoulders and Vaseline Shampoo!! hahaha !! cause they are the few brands who uses a guy in their commercial, but i do prefer H%26amp;S... and i don't know why
something feminine. acause it just shows your in touch with your inner manliness.

its all the same stuff. Shampoo is just a fancy word for soap. Really its a scam....you should just wash your hair with apple cidar vinegar and water.
Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo is the best. You will smell good too. What? I am just trying to help. Maybe?
    Use AXE bodywash

Are you supposed to shampoo and condition your pubic hair? If so what type or brand of shampoo can i use?

At gym class people will looking at my penis and this one boy says hey! you don't shampoo your pubic hair? I never knew this was possible. Is this normal? Also what brand of shampoo is needed for this? Some of my friends get Mohawks and braid their ';hair'; as well? Are you supposed to shampoo and condition your pubic hair? If so what type or brand of shampoo can i use?
hahaha [= just use normal body wash. those guys are kind of weird... don't braid your pubes. or just shave! most girls i know like it just smooth haha good luck ..Are you supposed to shampoo and condition your pubic hair? If so what type or brand of shampoo can i use?
LOL WTF. I never heard of anyone shampooing and conditioning their pubes... From what I know you really aren't supposed too and don't really need too...

But I guess if you wanted too there is no specific kind of shampoo or conditioner to use on your pubic hair... anything would work... but your pubes are thicker than your head hair so it won't ever look or feel like it..

I'm sure he might have just been kidding around to mess with you too...
lmaoo. when you soap your body that does the trick.
lmfao wow the kids at your school are messed!

  • How do I get silky silky non frizzy poofy hair... i use a shampoo and conditioner for oily hair..anymore hints

I want it to look oily but not be oily..i need it silky as it can get. i have a week or 2.How do I get silky silky non frizzy poofy hair... i use a shampoo and conditioner for oily hair..anymore hints
If your hair goes frizzy, it would have natural wave or curl in it. Naturally curly hair is dry, not oily. Since you've been using products for oily hair, they are drying your hair out even more, which is making it frizzy. You need to stop using your current shampoo and conditioner and buy somethint that is specifically for curly hair, which will not dry out your hair. I love the Curl Life line from Matrix. If you colour your hair, you could also use a shampoo and conditioner that is for colour treated hair, as coloured hair tends to be dry as well.

You may also want to use some styling serum. Shine Renewal by Biolage is a fantastic product. How do I get silky silky non frizzy poofy hair... i use a shampoo and conditioner for oily hair..anymore hints
    I actually use herbal essences.

They have mannyyy types of shampoo for different types of hair.

    I use the Dangerously Straight.

if i'm not mistaken, they make a nonfrizz.

but if not..i would try to the dangerously straight which most likely would straighten out frizzier hair. and plus adds a lottt of moisture for shiny silky hair by using the conditioner.
Try Loreal Vive shine shampoo %26amp; conditioner. It comes in pink bottles and smells like bubblegum. It makes my hair SUPER shiney and just use a mousse to volumize when blowdrying. I use AG foam (smells like cherries). The foam is guaranteed to protect hair from heat, create shine, create volume, and hold you style for longer. My hair is soooo soft and super shiney at all times.
paul mitchells super skinny serum a little goes a looooong way and is only like 10$ a bottle and ive had mine forever
I definitely recommend getting your hair relaxed. Not the expensive over $1,000 one, but there are some salons that will chemically relax your hair for under $100. I have frizzy, think, and poofy hair and do not have the time to straighten it every day. When I got my hair relaxed it was so easy to manage it, I could just brush it out and leave it down with no hair products.
My hair will frizz and be kinky after blow drying it and I use an anti frizz serum and a flat iron. Makes it very smooth and frizz free
rubbing coconut oil into your hair before you go to bed makes the curls more defined and it stops dryness.

Does adding lemon juice to your shampoo help make your hair lighter if your always outside?

i know putting lemon juice in your hair works but how about if you put it in you shampooDoes adding lemon juice to your shampoo help make your hair lighter if your always outside?
The sun will naturally make your hair lighter without the lemon juice. Lemon juice is acidic and will dry out your hair making it brittle with split ends.Does adding lemon juice to your shampoo help make your hair lighter if your always outside?
    na it doesn't.

blonde hair can be made lighter by putting lemon juice in the hair and staying in the sun for quite a bit. if it's washed out... it goes down the drain. =P
nope. get a squirt bottle and put put water in it, then squirt a lemon or two in there. spray it on your hair and go in the sun. Or put water in squirt bottle and add one capful of hydrogen peroxide to it. not too much or you will look orange. but spray that on your hair and go outside. if you want it lighter, do it again in a couple days. can keep this mixture, 9the lemon juice mixture will go bad) but spray it once a week or so to keep getting gradually highlighted! then condition well!
I wouldn't try it...that could mess up your shampoo and damage your hair. Just put lemon juice in your hair before going outside on a sunny day. (:
Idk but i used this thing called ';SUN -IN'; When yr hair is wet you have to go out in the sun or blow-dry yr hair .I blow dried mine and it got rlly cute. I had DARK brown hair now its a cute light brown. On the back of the bottle it'll show you what yr hair will turn out lyk. It shows what yr hair is lyk now and what it'll turn out to be. You can find it at lyk CVS or Walgreens. Hope I helpedd.(:
