Flea baths are regarded as the most toxic treatment for a cat. Cats have very thin skin that absorbs the chemicals into the bloodstream. Cats also groom themselves by licking their fur and will pickup any traces of the chemicals and ingest them. You are better off buying a flea product from your vet. OTC flea products are
NON effective. If your cat has fleas, the topical products like Advantage will work. They may seem expensive, but they work. The stuff from the stores are questionable at best.
